Emzie's Dance Recital

Emzie's little dance group performed the Nutcracker this year. She was so darn cute with her little poses! We were so excited this year because she didn't hit any other kids, she didn't fold her arms in protest and walk off the stage AND she didn't point and boss any of the other girls around during the actual dance! It was by all accounts and purposes a banner night.

Thanksgiving-a-palooza

Good times were a rollin and the Rowe/Keller family feast. Lots of food, fun, family and more food. And of course...what would Thanksgiving be without bowling?

Rowe Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated a little bit early so we could all have dinner together. We missed Jack and Mer and Truman but everyone else was there. Jeffie even got some pheasant hunting in.
We ate like piggies and then went bowling to celebrate AJ's birthday...GOOD TIMES!

Nutcracker time!

We are starting to make a tradition out of going to see the Nutcracker in Salt Lake. This year I took the girls and they loved it! Emoree was entranced by the dancers and the orchestra. I think she loved it a teensie bit more than Syd.
We all got dressed up and went down town with all the fancy people at the Capitol Theatre! It was so much fun to be with family and celebrate a little.

AJ's Big Day

AJ was baptized on Saturday, December 5. He was so excited to be baptized by his daddy. He was just a little afraid that Jeff wouldn't do it right. He repeatedly told him not to leave even a hair sticking out because he didn't want to do it more than once.
Everything came off without a hitch...Jeff and AJ did a fantastic job. We are so proud of him. We are so thankful to everyone who came to share this special day with us!

Viva Las Vegas!

Jeffie and I took a little weekend vaca to Vegas this Spring. We had fun just hanging out and being able to talk to each other! We met up with some good friends of ours and had dinner at the Bellagio buffet...we all ate like complete pigs! It was good times.

Picture Day

This is picture day at Spalding. The kids all looked sooooo cute. We curled sissy's hair for about an hour and then put it up in bobbypins. She wanted it over on the side....all that's old is new again. 80's anyone???

EASTER FUN!

This is our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. The kids had a ball fighting for eggs. We had cookies and drinks and the kids got to draw all over the pool parking lot with sidewalk chalk. The Meridian Fire Truck Team made a visit and all the boys were really excited!

Syd and Emmie's Christmas Dance Recital

The girls' dance recital was on December 12 this year. They didn't do the "Nutcracker" like they did last year, instead they had individual numbers. Emoree did great in her ballet number, but flat out walked off the stage in protest during the first 8 counts of her tap number. She told me "she didn't like that dance and was sick of it". She literally just walked right off the stage with her arms folded across her chest and a frown on her face.
Syd did both of her dances and they were wonderful. For her tap number they used big over sized candy canes as props. She was so cute and did a fabulous job. She has such awesome stage presence!!! I just love to watch them both.

Community Christmas Music Extravaganza!

The Mecham's threw their annual musical Christmas extravaganza again this year. It is always a highlight of our season. There was plenty of music, friends and fun. The kids were in a dance number and a bell ringing number. I sang a duet with Kevin Love (he's a great little singer and a member of Mountain View HS Jazz Choir). We sang "Baby It's Cold". Jeff was the MC of the evening and did a great job.

AJ's Class Christmas Party!

AJ's class is so fun! We had a great time with all the kids. We made cards for all the sick kids at the St. Lukes pediatric cancer center. We also ate like pigs! Yay.

Super Soap Weekend 2008

I know it sounds crazy.........BUT.......I had the best time at Super Soap. It was going on the same weekend we were at WDW. I met so many great ladies who plan their whole vacation around this weekend. I also met some real crazies who are soap star stalkers!!! Seriously! I got asked to go to a bar/after party and stalk some male soap stars at their hotel! Crazy.....no, I didn't go. I met some nice people....including Susan Lucci! It was a blast.
